"Eisenstein does it with cuts, Max Ophuls does it with fluid movement. Chaplin does it with nothing. Eisenstein seems to be all form and no content, Chaplin is all content and little form. Nobody could have shot a film in a more pedestrian way than Chaplin. Nobody could have paid less attention to story than Eisenstein. Alexander Nevsky is, after all, a pretty dopey story. Potemkin is built around a heavy propaganda story. But both are great filmmakers."

"ASH VERSUS EVIL DEAD: Starz has revealed that Ray Santiago and Dana DeLorenzo will join Bruce Campbell in ASH VS. EVIL DEAD, the TV-series follow-up to the classic feature films that rolls in New Zealand this spring and will premiere on the network later this year. Santiago will play Pablo Simon Bolivar and DeLorenzo will be Kelly Maxwell, and according to the official announcement, "Pablo Simon Bolivar is an idealistic immigrant who becomes Ash's loyal sidekicka Sancho Panza to Ash's Don Quixote. Pablo believes in Ash's heroism even if Ash himself doesn't. Kelly Maxwell is a moody wild child trying to outrun her past. Reluctantly dragged into the fight against evil with Ash and Pablo, Kelly finds a different kind of family with her fellow Deadite slayers."

"Sam Raimi will direct the first installment of the 10-episode show, which he wrote with his brother Ivan, Craig DiGregorio and Tom Spezialy. Sam will also serve as an executive producer along with his longtime cohorts Campbell and Rob Tapert, with DiGregorio as executive producer/showrunner, Ivan Raimi co-executive producing and Aaron Lam producing. According to the official synopsis, "Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demonspersonal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its 'Evil' grip."

Puikoissa Legacy:n ohjaaja, ja lisänä (tämän tiedon valossa) vielä lähes 3kk edellisosaa pidempi kuvaussessio. Hyvä alku..

Ai Human centipedestä tule jo kolmaskin osa! Hyvä! Eka oli kyllä hyvä ja erikoinen tapaus. Pakko ostaa kaikki jatko-osat. Josko joskus tulee jonkinlainen boxi sitten.

Hehe, siinä riittää isukeilla ja mammoilla työsarkaa kuin mormooneilla pahan maailman vastavalistuksessa ikään, kun näitä promoja alkaa pomppia paikoissa missä moisia ehkä vähiten osaa odottaa.

"You are likely one of the many people who are wondering just what Gaspar Noe has to shock us with in his upcoming, 3D-enabled "Love," which has recently been added to the Cannes Film Festival. The director himself wants to go straight for the hormones, saying "with my next film I hope guys will have erections and girls will get wet."

Komea kakkos traileri jakoon. Niitä yhdellä kädellä laskettavia valtavirtaälyttömyyksiä, joita huomaa odottavansa ihan tosissaan.

Hesarin mukaan The Lobster (2015) tulee Suomen elokuvateattereihin elokuussa. Ehkäpä viime vuoden paras leffa, nähty mm. R&A:ssa.

Siis perhanan hyvä uutinenhan tämä on, ei siinä mitään, mutta osoittaapahan taas sen, minkälaisessa lampaiden leffaperiferiassa yhä elämme.

Vasta elokuussa 2016...
